Host your website with Google

but incase I didn’t…

You can host your site for free with Google, by using their http://sites.google.com/

I have set up a couple of domains like this, and it’s a little goofy but it does work.
They have detailed instructions on how to go to the site where you have your domain name registered and make the changes.

It’s a little tricky because they do it by kind of redirecting your site to google, and they only allow www.example.com not example.com

so you also have to forward your domain to www that will make them both work.

Anyway, Google is probably going to be around for a while and that’s one of the biggest problems with hosting is when they go under.

The web pages you can set up are a little limited, but for basic pages Google does a great job of easily letting you edit them.

So if you have a domain name and you just want to set up a basic site for free. Then Google Sites is a big thumbs up.
